Vaasnet is a privately held company focusing on providing instant-on virtual machines to customers.
The original website was built just to get to market quickly. It focused only on the product and not on customer business problems and explaining the problems that instant-on virtual machines solved. Vaasnet needed to change its website in order to focus on new customer segments as the market for virtual machines grew. Switching from a static website to a dynamic CMS solution scared Vaasnet, and they avoided it assuming that all of the current business logic built into the Vaasnet management portal would need to be rewritten into the new content management system.
Dynamicweb offered a solution that meant the company would not have to throw away any investments made with easy integration between the two platforms. The Dynamicweb template is easy to understand and easy to modify, allowing not only quick changes to individual pages but also website wide layout changes too. The flexibility of the Dynamicweb platform and deployment made it very easy to install and also easy to see how to integrate it with the current Vaasnet management portal.
Vaasnet now has a great site running on a Dynamicweb platform with integration to the Vaasnet management portal including a solid content management system where modifying content to better explain the benefits of the products to customers is easy to do and no longer avoided. With Dynamicweb’s marketing platform, Vaasnet now know which virtual machines are selected based on the content that customers were just viewing and the funnel and marketing information provided by Dynamicweb’s online marketing platform will be used to further improve how the website explains the products to customers.
"We were able to build on our investments made over the past three years with Dynamicweb's platform. We didn't have to throw away anything we'd already built."
